Speaking against the indefinite detention clause in the NDAA, Ron Paul delivered a grave warning on the floor of the House of Representatives. Over three years later, his warning became an all too true nightmare as details of the Chicago Police Department’s Homan “Black Site” facility have emerged.

At this facility, victims have alleged accounts of food and water deprivation, physical abuse, neglect, no access to attorneys or family and, in the case of one man, even death.

“And when they say “I want my lawyer”, you tell them “Shut up, you don’t get a lawyer!”””

It is chilling to recall events surrounding the NDAA debate and what is being uncovered currently. Those words were infamously spoken by Senator Lindsey Graham, in support of indefinite detention.
